Dinners

We have a kitchen on the premises which prepares and cooks meals of a high quality daily.  There is normally a choice of meals and we can generally cater for special diets.  From September 2014 all children in Foundation, Year 1 & 2 have been entitled to a free school meal.

The current cost of a meal for Key Stage 2 is £2.30.  Payments should be made in advance using the online portal https://www.mychildatschool.com/MCAS/MCSParentLogin.  Further details can be obtained from the school office.

We have three options of meal available every day.  Your child selects their choice at morning registration and the appropriate coloured band will be given to them before lunch (Red, Green and Blue.  School menus are posted on the website to help you support your child in their decision.

Dinners should be paid for in advance – county directive states that any child with a debt of £10.00 or more will be refused school dinners until the debt has been cleared.  Families on income support may be entitled to free school meals – if you think you may be eligible please complete an application on www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/education/parents/help/lunches/ or collect a form from the school office.  Should your child order a school meal even though they have been provided with a packed lunch this meal will still be charged.

Children also have the option to have a packed lunch or if they wish go home to eat.  We ask that children do not bring fizzy, glass bottles or cans of drink with their packed lunch.  Please do not send your child to school with nuts or with products which may include nuts of any sort as we have a number of children who have nut allergies.
