Governor Pictures and Profiles

Richard Hill has been a parent governor since 2017. He has lived in Melbourn since 2010 and has two children at the school. Richard works for a UK Bank in a role covering project and operational management.
Helen Hird has been a parent governor since 2016. She has a daughter at the school. Helen is a Chartered Accountant and works part-time in a local business.
Debbie House joined as a co-opted governor in 2018. She lives in the village and used to be chair of governors at Meldreth Primary School.
Andy Smith has been a member of the Governing Body since 1988. He has had two children through the school during the 1980s and takes a keen interest in all education matters. He was awarded the BTEC in School Governance in 2003. Currently he is also a governor at Melbourn Village College. Andy is a retired scientist but used to work locally until retirement in 2010. He takes a keen interest in village affairs.
Jenni Woodrow has been a co-opted governor since 2011. She has two boys in the school.
Jenni is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology in a London University. As well as teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students she conducts research into how people understand spoken and written language.
Catriona Wright has been a co-opted governor since 2014. Catriona’s main skills are based around project management within engineering companies but extend to finance and people management too. She currently works part-time for a Cambridge engineering company, but spends the rest of her time having fun with her daughter who is at the school.
