Making Learning Irresistible

Year 6 Coding Club

Hello from Melbourn Primary School Code Club!

In Code Club we use projects from the Raspberry Pi Foundation to introduce the children to a block programming language called Scratch. The project pathways introduce coding concepts which allow the children to create their own animations, stories, games, quizzes, whatever they can think of!

We wanted to share some of their coolest projects with you so that you can have a play.

If you would like to have a go with Scratch at home, here’s some useful links.

Thanks to Raspberry Pi Foundation and Scratch Foundation who are both not-for-profit organisations and provide these wonderful resources for free.

Code Club is run by volunteers; if you are interested in volunteering please contact Catriona Wright.

Christmas 2023 Animations

Y6 Code Club has been having fun learning how to make animations by coding in Scratch and they’d like to share a few with you: https://youtu.be/L7k6aRa_T5c. We’re looking forward to more coding in the New Year including using our new micro:bits.

If you are interested in helping as a Code Club Leader, please contact cationa.wright@mhzdesigns.co.uk. Merry Christmas!
